New Lynn Town Centre, Auckland
As Senior Landscape Architect at the Studio of Urban Landscape, Nick was project landscape architect responsible for concept development, detailed design, tender documents and site supervision for stage one of the town centre improvements. Included were refurbishment of public spaces, creation of new plazas, settings for sculptures, and Great North Road streetscape. The project team also included engineers and sculptors Bill McKay and Peter Lange. Design themes built on public consultation and the history of New Lynn's ceramic industry.

The distinctive Art Deco references of the old bank building provide the geometry for the pavings and the locations for tree gardens.
